EMRA Statement for Freedom of Information
This statement will be replaced with our Freedom of Information Policy and Publication Scheme once finalised.
East Midlands Regional Assembly (EMRA), although not bound by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, acts within the spirit of the Act and aims to be as open as possible by making as much information as possible, publicly available on our website. EMRA will disclose recorded information held by it, subject to a range of exemptions. A full list of exemptions can be found at the Department for Constitutional Affairs website: http://www.dca.gov.uk.
EMRA will usually respond within 20 working days of receipt of written requests. If we are not able to meet that deadline, for good reason, we will keep the applicant informed.
If there are any sensitivities associated with the request we will provide as much information as possible and explain why certain information has been withheld. If the request actually relates to another organisation/contact, EMRA has worked with; we will forward the request to them and inform the applicant of this.
EMRA may charge for information where the cost of complying with the request, exceeds £450.
Freedom of Information requests should be sent to Rachael Marriott:
by e-mail: info@emra.gov.uk
by post: FOI Officer, East Midlands Regional Assembly, First Floor, Council Offices,

If an applicant is dissatisfied with the response from EMRA he/she should contact EMRA in the first instance explaining why he/she is dissatisfied and this will be dealt with accordingly. Should the applicant remain dissatisfied, he/she can request an independent review from the Information Commissioner. This should be made in writing directly to:
