A leading expert on sustainable business practice will be delivering an exclusive presentation to local businesspeople at this year’s East Midlands Expo 2007 at the Rockingham Speedway on 16 October.
Simon Drury, Business Partnerships Director at Envirowise, a Government-funded programme tasked with embedding sustainability at the heart of UK business, will be outlining the latest thinking on resource efficiency and the profitable implementation of environmentally-friendly practices.
Simon comments: “There is a huge misconception amongst the UK business community that addressing their environmental impacts is going to be costly. In fact, the efficiencies that companies can
make – addressing wasted materials, water and energy, improving their product designs and minimising their packaging – can result in savings of hundreds of thousands of pounds.
“Envirowise’s latest research shows that businesses are not only rewarded with substantial cost and
time savings but that improvements in staff motivation, productivity and retention are also
commonplace”
