EMRA’s Mini Scrutiny Review of the role and effectiveness of emda and partners in international trade

The East Midlands Regional Assembly has started work on its final scrutiny review, which will look at ‘the role and effectiveness of emda and partners in international trade’. The review will profile East Midlands international trade performance and the impact of the recession. It will also critically examine emda’s role, the effectiveness of current activity and the co-ordination between emda funded activities and nationally funded activities of UK Trade and Investment.

The Review will be led by Dr Angela Rushton and will report in December 2009. emda will respond to the review in February. EMRA have appointed consultants to gather evidence and they will be speaking to businesses and other key partners from around the region.
