The East Midlands Regional Scrutiny Board has endorsed a review of how effectively the East Midlands Development Agency (emda) works with partners, principally UK Trade and Investment, to support firms to trade internationally.

International trade can help local businesses lead the region out of the recession. This review makes four recommendations to boost the international trade support that is offered to firms in the East Midlands.

The review will be published in February 2010 and emda will respond by setting out the actions they will take.
