This event was held on 24th April 2007 at Pera Innovation Park in Melton Mowbray.

Within the East Midlands, the East Midlands Regional Assembly’s Environment Group has been working with partners to ensure delivery of Green Infrastructure (GI) at the regional,sub regional and local levels. A database of stakeholders now exists through correspondence with regional and local governmental and non-governmental organisations. This will form the basis of a Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) for the coordinated delivery

of GI across the region.

This event celebrated the regional GI achievements with the following:

• formal launch of "Green Infrastructure for the East Midlands - a public benefit mapping project"
• launch of a Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) for the region.
• the programme launch of a series of regional seminars for planners and developers to raise awareness about GI.
